Sveprol Bio Production AB

Our Swedish company, Sveprol Bio Production AB, has for more than 25 years been working with collection of used fat and oils, so called used cooking oil (UCO), and today we are collecting from all over Sweden. Our suppliers of raw material are many, and of very different types, as they consist of small hotdog-stands, restaurants, grocery shops, fast-food chains and grocery industries. Today we are the most diversified company within this business in Sweden.
 
Together with our business partners, the area for collecting UCO today covers Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark, and we are constantly developing and growing. We have invested in increasing our capacity of handling and producing even bigger volumes of used cooking oil since 2005, and today we are handling products of various quality - also from other countries than Sweden.
 
Sveprol is a part of Modern By-products Group which each year handles more than 150.000 tonnes of biological by-products for green, innovative use.

SVEPROL BUSINESS
 
Collection of UCO
 
Being our customer is very easy! We collect all over Sweden, and all customers are provided with suitable barrels or containers for the used oil or fat. We can offer different sizes of barrels, the most common being 200, 400 or 1000 litres containers. When the barrel is full, collection is only a quick phone call away and can be done normally within 3-5 working days.
 
Our staff take care of everything connected with the collection and replace the full barrels with empty, clean ones, and thus our customers are never exposed to any risks in connection with changing full barrels or containers.  
 
Production of UCO
 
The used fat and oils that we collect is taken to our plant in Norrköping where it is being recycled to biodiesel or technical oils.
 
Biodiesel
 
Biodiesel is often produced on the basis of rape or palm oil. However, the biodiesel sold by Sveprol, the so called MBP biodiesel non standard, is manufactured on the basis of UCO. We can guarantee the quality and safety in using our biodiesel as it is the same biodiesel used in our own trucks when collecting UCO all over Sweden. The alcohol that we add when manufacturing the biodiesel is of biological origin, which makes our biodiesel 100% biological. Another positive aspect of manufacturing biodiesel from UCO is that the raw material does not consist of palm or rape oil, and therefore does not compete  with food production, nor does it contribute to the devastation of rain forests.
 
Technical industry
 
Distillation: Through distillation UCO is separated into various clean basic oils from which different types of oil based paint, hand lotion, sunblocks, make up, candles etc. are being produced. UCO is a substitute to virgin oils such as palm and rape oil, and, consequently, using UCO instead of these products has the same positive influence on the environment as the production of biodiesel from UCO.
 
Soap production: Shampoo, soap and industrial soap are also manufactured from UCO. The manufacturing process is relatively simple, but it is efficient both as regards the consumption of energy and the environment.
